Guidance and getting started (Orientierung)

When you arrive at the airport, it is essential to know how to find your way around so you don’t get lost:

Terminal 1 / Terminal 2: The main sections of the building.

Der Bahnhof (Train station): A key location for getting to or from the airport.

Mietwagen (Rental cars): A specific section if you decide to hire a car.

Ankunfts- und Abflughalle (Arrivals and departures halls): Usually accessible via escalators (Rolltreppen).

Meeting points and emergencies

If you are travelling with someone and you get separated, you should go to:

Treffpunkt (Meeting point): A designated place to meet up if you have lost sight of each other (sich aus den Augen verloren hat). Screens displaying Abflugszeiten (departure times) are usually located near these points (horarios de salida).

Additional note: The selection process for becoming an air traffic controller (Fluglotse) is known to be extremely difficult and stressful, involving several rounds of selection.
